About the class
Creative writing: some people think it means you sit around and put words together with little or no thought, and then you say, “Hey, it’s art!” That might be true for a lot of people, but not for people who study it. In this senior English class, we will be studying creative writing–the elements, the ways to do it, the people who have done it before who have done it well. Most employers list creative problem solving as a skill that is necessary for employees today. Creative writing will teach you to creatively solve problems as well as analyze fiction and non-fiction from other writers to see how they solve the creative challenge of writing.
